FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions.
Here are some common questions about Shower Pro.
What is the best way to clean my shower screen once it has been treated?
You will be able to very quickly and easily clean your shower screen by washing the treated surfaces with water and a mild detergent, and a wipe over with a dry micro fibre cloth once a week. “Much easier, cheaper and environmentally friendlier!”
Does your treatment really reduce cleaning time?
Yes, It Generally takes between 30 to 40 minutes and a lot of elbow grease to clean a shower properly. After your shower has been treated by ShowerPro you will spend no more than 5 minutes, and you will never again have to scrub the shower.
How often should I clean my shower screen?
Once a week is recommended (depending on how frequently the shower is used) to keep the surface clean and looking like new.
What happens if I scrub the shower and use chemicals?
The surface protection coating used can only be damaged by harsh scratching using rough and abrasive type scourers and other types of tools. Chemicals should not affect the surface however it is not recommended to use hydrofluoric acid and highly alkaline chemicals such as bleach, potassium hydroxide and sodium hydroxide especially if the surface has been damaged.
Will the treatment crack, peel or discolor over time?
No, the treatment is only a few nanometers thick and is invisible. There is nothing that will crack or discolor over time. It is unlike a lacquer or varnish.
Will the coating gradually wash off with each use?
No, the ShowerPro treatment is permanent. It is unlike some products that are silicone based and wear off over a period of time.
How long will the treatment last?
Accelerated testing simulated cleaning a shower screen and tiles over a 10 year period and revealed minimal or no change to the molecular structure.
Can the treatment be used on exterior glass?
Yes, the coating is UV stable and will not breakdown. ShowerPro uses a specially formulated treatment for pool fences and balustrades and any outdoor glass.
Can the ShowerPro treatment be applied over tiles?
Yes, our surface protection treatment works just as well on tiles as it does on glass.
Can the treatment be used on vanity basins?
